I see: The sun, the twin towers, the green sky, and the New York skyline.

I think: the sun is setting on the old way of life and will rise on a better day. The twin towers show the coming together of Americans and the progression of financial America. America will reshape the world with the inventiveness of New York and the way it can overcome defeat. I think that the green sky represents the green light at the end of the peer. I think that war is not the answer to our problems. I think people do not always need to act on their feelings.

I wonder: if the towers will be rebuilt. What is next for Americans in NYC. How Americans will rebuild and rethink New York. If the sun will ever rise again on the New York and America. how somebody could destroy such a beautiful architectural design, and kill so many people. I wonder when all of this fighting is going to stop and peace will reign down on men.

I Pledge Alegiance to the Flag!

This week in our American Studies class we were asked to produce an original image of an American flag. I took this picture on the side of the road at my Grandparents house. This flag was the only flag on the block and the people that live in the house it stood in front of were Polish immigrants.
Right when I saw it I knew that it was perfect for this post. I thought that this picture was great; the way that the flag is blowing in the wind caught my eye. I found it very comical the way that there is an American flag stuck into a pot and the flowers, bushes, and everything else inside of the pot are dead. I think that flying a flag in this manner is un-patriotic and the people should be asked to either remove the flag or present it in a different way. When an American flag is being flown in the wind, and it is standing tall above everything else around it; that is a beautiful sight. I think that the flag is a strong representation of people’s devotion to their country. I think that if somebody is going to fly Americas’ colors it should be done rightfully and in a respectful way. I love America and I love our flag, so when people decide to deface or shame the flag it really makes me mad. People should not look at the flag like it’s some sort of object to be played around with, or thrown around, it should be viewed as the heart and soul of America and the hearts of the great people that live in it.

February 22, 2009!!!

February 22, 2009. The Academy awards are going to be on and I’m that there are going to be laughs and cry’s winners and losers but most of all I’m sure that Heath Ledger is going to get an Oscar for his Epic screen play in THE Dark Knight. I think that even though it was only the second highest grossing film of all time right behind Titanic, and that it only cost 30 million dollars to produce is absolutely amazing. In the movie Heath ledger plays a raging psychopath that is known as the Joker, and Batman played by Christian Bale has to stop him from destroying the entire city of Gotham. Heath ledger as the joker was absolutely amazing he really captured the evil that is supposed to be possessed by the Joker. Although he is funny at times in the movie I feel like all around he really did have a very strong sense of evil to him, and that he really did want to kill everyone and everything in the world. In my belief yes hands down I am Bias to Heath Ledger winning best actor of the year in this year’s Academy awards. My final question is Why so Serious!?

Halo, End War, Call Of Duty, and America's Army?

This week on numerous occasions the picture of President Barack Obama in a bathing suit came up. I think that this picture although very subtle is nevertheless very important. It really shows how Obama is going to bring a new feeling to the American people and a new way of life. Would anybody ever see George W. Bush In a bathing suit on the beach, no. the picture shows how Obama is kind of a cool president, that he is very serious when he has work to bo but when he is off work he just wants to hang out with the fam at the beach or maybe drain a three pointer with some buddies at the naval base. Bet all and all I think the t the picture poses a good insight into the life and style of Barack Obama

Warrantless wire tapping friend or foe?

The question is, should warrantless wire tapping be legal or should it be illegal. In my opinion I believe that it should be illegal. I feel that it is a direct violation of our civil rights that are given to us as citizens of the United States. This action I feel is a direct violation of privacy, people in the government should not be able to listen in on any conversation that I am having with someone because it is just strange. I do understand that it can be helpful to be able to catch a “terrorist” by listening in on his conversations over the telephone, or checking his e-mail, but I mean come on tapping peoples cell phones that are innocent is just creepy, because what if the suspect someone of being a terrorist and they just end up being a normal person but they find something else out about them that was illegal. Are they able to convict them of that crime or not? I have no idea whether or not that is allowed but I surely think that is should not be allowed.
